Fire Protective Curtain FA
FA Curtain is an automatic, fire protective barrier that prevents fire and smoke from transferring from one part of a building to another. The Fire Protective Curtain is a vertical deploying opening protective, ideal to replace fire doors and protect atriums and lobbies.
Options
This vertically deploying opening protective is available with 1-hour and 3-hour fire protective ratings and carries UL 10D for up to 3 hours.

Operation
It can be installed above the ceiling and remain hidden until it’s needed. In the event of a fire, the fire curtain automatically deploys when interfaced with the building fire alarm system. Local smoke detectors or loss of power will also trigger the fire curtain (Gravity Fail-Safe System).

The System Includes:
Head box and fabric
The system incorporates a glass fiber fabric wound around a steel roller that incorporates a 24V permanent magnet roller. The roller assembly is encased in a galvanized steel head box, which can be fixed directly to the building’s structure. The fabric is silver grey and can be printed with custom signage per customer request.
Bottom bar
A standard bottom bar is attached to the bottom of the curtain and serves to ensure that the curtain deploys under gravity in a controlled manner (Gravity Fail-Safe).
Side guides
The side guides provide a seal between the sides of the curtain fabric and the walls, ensuring that any positive or negative pressures created by a fire will be resisted by the curtain.
